Before becoming a writer Martin worked as an engineer, designing and building prototype scientific research equipment. He grew up in the Thames Valley and now lives in Wiltshire with his wife and 'Poppy' a black Lab who, can often be found sitting under the table while he is writing, waiting patiently for her next ‘walkies’.
